My Balcony

Life.

Natural, fused with man-made creations.  Blending well on my balcony.

Watching the trees come to life. Sprouting the offspring they’ve protected during the winter months.

Everything living reaching, reaching, reaching for the glow and warmth of the morning sun.

Melodies of birds enhanced by the vague meow of a cat, while rolling in the grass feet up reaching for the tip of a sun ray.

Nature at its finest with full sunlight.

My balcony facing east. Waking to the soft morning song of birds and the rays of light on my face.

The world is alive again and I join nature on my balcony with a nice hot coffee.

She, the sun and nature itself have become my best friends. They are always happy to greet me and stay for a while.

The bees are welcome and we never fight.

Spiders spin their webs preparing for the evening hunt.

The mother wood-pigeon protects her spring eggs, anxious for her mate to return with brunch. She seldom leaves them alone now.

The destitute and mangled plants left abandoned on the street, fight for their lives now re-potted and watered. Every morning and every evening encouraged to survive, they reach for the rays and begin to feel life in their veins.

Bulbs bursting into arrays of color, full and lush with flowers.

Every living thing working together to survive.

Squawking from the sky. The sea gulls announce their arrival.
